Fairfield Junior-Senior High School is public secondary school located in Goshen, Indiana by US-33. It is a part of Fairfield Community Schools. The school serves about 900 students in grades 7 through 12 coming from New Paris Elementary School, Millersburg Elementary School, and Benton Elementary School.
Since the opening of the school in 1968, Fairfield has had good athletic achievements. The Falcons are known to excel in volleyball, tennis, and other sports, but provides limited non-sports related extra-curricular activities.
In 2006, Fairfield's football team unexpectedly won the North Eastern Corner Conference Title. The season for 2007 was a lot like 2006; the Falcons went undefeated in the regular season, beat Culver Military in their non-conference game, then beat Fort Wayne Harding in the first game in sectionals.
Fairfield is also known for their highly successful marching band program in the 90s and early 00s, though the program has suffered setbacks since 2005, missing several state competitions. They are still a respected band in their region, though the program's drop in quality and upgrade to a larger class has reduced their visibility.
Fairfield is perhaps best known for its outstanding volleyball program. Coached by Carla Herschberger, Fairfield has made appearances in the Indiana high school State Finals for five years in a row, losing to nationally-ranked Muncie Burris three of those years.
